单认证，是指在公证书的后一页盖上我国外交部领事司或有关省、自治区、市的外事办公室的印章。

Single authentication means that the seal of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China or the foreign affairs office of the relevant province, autonomous region or city is affixed on the back page of the notarial certificate.

双认证, 是指在办妥我国外交部领事司或有关省、自治区、市的外事办公室的认证手续后, 再办理公证书的使用国驻华使(领)馆的认证。这种办理两个认证的作法, 通常称为双认证 。

Double authentication refers to the authentication of the embassy (consulate) in China of the country where the notarial certificate is used after the authentication formalities of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China or the foreign affairs office of the relevant province, autonomous region or city are completed. This method of handling two certifications is usually called double certification.
